Semi-autonomous drone control with safety analysis

چکیده

This paper describes the partial automation of drones (also referred to as uncrewed aerial vehicles, UAVs, or robots) in populated areas within visual line-of-sight their pilot. Mission responsiveness is improved by reducing number human crew members and avoiding need for area clearance, while carefully managing workload those remaining ensure no compromise on safety. The work employs a system-centric approach with regard integrating tasks based capabilities use standard procedures, whilst prioritizing predictability simplicity overall system. Safety claims about proposed system are posed rigorously analyzed through structured safety case. applied bridge inspection case study simulation results scenario analysis.
